Priscilla always wanted a platform to showcase her creativity and uplift others through personable customized services. She gained the reputation for outstanding services and commitment to good work ethics in the greater Los Angeles, Valley, and Agoura Hills regions. She has been an integral part of the community with a rich history and an exciting future.
In Elementary school Priscilla was awarded the Martin Luther King Jr. Symphony of Brotherhood Literary and Art Competition Certificate of Merit. Priscilla as a youngster started exercising her social talents and organizational skills as she rallied and started the first cheerleader and pep squad team at CES (at that time Center For Enriched Studies was the first magnet school in the Los Angeles Unified School District) . She went on to coordinate school entertainment shows. She enthusiastically scouted for event locations and entertainment, managed talent auditions, ticket and raffle sales, choreographed and performed dance selections. She also rallied for and planned educational field trips for the students.
Starting in Junior High School, she gained administrative skills as she completed volunteer work at NAACP (National Association for the Advancement of Colored People) while a member of the Government Body class. Her schoolmates voted her Best Body and Best Dress.
While ending her tenure in Cosmetology school, Priscilla used her unique press n’ curl and hair styling talents in competitions to place 1st in the Contempo School of Beauty-freshman; Elasta Products United Network Beauty & Barber; the Revlon Realistic Professional Product and Ideal Black Gold Trade Shows-Student Preliminaries and 3rd in the Revlon Realistic Gold Trade Show. La Faye Davenport – founder/stylist of the prestigious Simply Raw Hair Designers, was highly impressed by Priscilla’s press n’ curl gift when she judged her talents in the Black Gold Trade Show competition. La Faye requested Priscilla to immediately apply to be part of the Simply Raw top hair professionals when she became licensed. Priscilla trained at Simply Raw Hair Designers in Los Angeles, California to become part of the professional hair designing team and later was one of the top cutting-edge stylists to open Simply Raw’s 2nd location in Panorama City, California. She designed hair models for Simply Raw fashion shows.
She simultaneously shared her hair styling skills in two geographical regions Panorama City and Inglewood, CA. She adorned many tresses throughout her 21 year hair designing career.
She designed her own apparel by LSO Designs by Linda Stokes; designed and styled her own fashions as she modeled in New Attitudes House of Beauty Salon show; directed parodies and custom made designed fashions for Called to Perfections Hair Salon fashion and hair show.
Priscilla known then as Ms. Prissy™ was recognized for her knowledge of healthy hair, unique hair designs, press ‘n curls expertise, fashion style and professionalism. Many of her cherished memories grew from her relationships with a huge clientele of uplifting, supportive and talented individuals.
For years Ms. Prissy™ coordinated and hosted 5-course dinner parties and various celebratory events as she entertained guests using her creativity and personable skills.
Priscilla moved on to acquire keyboarding and basic computer skills at Employment Development Department agencies; attained Business Computer skills at Occupational Center and Colleges; developed Human Resource dexterities from work experience at the Los Angeles Unified School District, along with work experiences as a Salesperson, Postal Worker, Junior Escrow Officer, Transportation Security Officer. Priscilla fine-tuned proficiencies with operating system applications while attending advanced computer workshop and seminars. She improved her sociable and leadership abilities by attending facilitator classes to become Facilitator certified all while becoming a commissioned Notary Public and certified Notary Loan Signing Agent.
Ms. Prissy™ grew interest in working out after training with personal trainer David Mims in Black Diamond Gym in Los Angeles, CA. Her exercise interest turned into a search for healthier eating and lifestyle change. She pursued knowledge for a healthier lifestyle and for many years perfected a disciplined exercise regimen. She believes that life successes depend on one’s determination to Keep It Moving.
Prissy’s self-motivation has encouraged others to seek her coaching on exercise and healthier eating. She eagerly helps others to gain confidence in achieving their health goals through achievable exercise and conscious eating.
Prissy for years was a continued participant in the annual Revlon Run/Walk for Women for breast cancer and have participated in the Minnie Riperton 5k/10k for Breast Cancer Awareness, Vistas Mobil St. Patrick’s Day Run for The Blind and most recently Walk2EndAlzheimer awareness marathons.
Priscilla chaperoned Culver City Cheerleaders to Cheerleader Camp. She supports charitable fund raising organizations; lends her creative assistance at various events. Ms. Prissy host events and coordinates parties in any selective arena using her leadership and creative skilled services.
Prissy later gained interest in music and proceeds to create songs that move the soul with innovative inspiring beats.
